About Beachmere township

Quiet hideaway

The township of Beachmere, tucked away in the northern section of Moreton Bay, is a quiet yet pleasant hideaway. In spite of this it is very accessible to Brisbane, Redcliffe and the Sunshine Coast. The Caboolture township and railway station is a 10 minute drive away travelling along Beachmere Road towards the M1 and follow the signs. The rail service is a boost to this area making it unncessary to take a vehicle into the busy Brisbane City traffic.There is an excellent train service from Caboolture to the Brisbane CBD with express trains running frequently. You can be in the City in 40 minutes.

In the township, a ten minute walk up the road, there is an IGA, Post Office, Bakery, Tavern,  Service Station, etc  making the area quite self sufficient. 

Its location just above Deception Bay, where the mouth of the Caboolture River flows into the bay, makes it an ideal spot for boating and fishing. Public boat ramps can be accessed either on the river or on the bay itself. For those without their own, boats are also available for hire in Beachmere.

Kangaroos often roam in the paddock next door to Rippas Retreat in the late evening, or can be seen at the end of Bakers Flat Road (a road that goes off Beachmere Road near the Beachmere township) in the late evenings.

If you just want to enjoy your family, stay away from the crowds, leave the phone at home, throw the car keys on the table, it is possible to walk or bike ride to most parts of the township..

Safe of kids

Kids will enjoy watching millions of tiny soldier crabs scuttling along the mud flats at low tide There is a skate park located in Beachmere too, where children can ride bikes or skate. 

It is as common site to see families pumping for bait when the tide is out.  Kids love chasing the yabbies as they scurry out of the mud into the water.

Further inland on the Caboolture River is a marina and chandlery.
