Mount Gravatt is located 8 km south east of Brisbane CBD and is home to the Mount Gravatt Outlook Reserve or Park of Toohey Forest. Mt Gravatt was the terminus of the old tram service in Brisbane.

Mt Gravatt Plaza is the local shopping centre which has a Post Office, Newsagent, Banks, Target, Woolworths, Butcher, Chemist, Hairdresser, Coffee Shops, Takaway, Fish Shop, etc and will have most things a family would need.

Transport

Bus - The following bus services can be accessed by walking from this residence, ie 170,171,176,172,173,174,175,177,178,184; It is 20mins to the CBD and a very enjoyable one hour drive  to the Gold Coast. There is also a bus and train to the Gold Coast. There is a large bus interchange for the south side at Garden City, Upper Mt Gravatt.

Vehicle access - Logan Road (the old Gold Coast Highway) is 3 minutes away and has a major shopping centres at the corner of Logan and Kessells Road.  

Creek Road leads from Logan Road to Lytton Road (just short of the Gateway Bridge). There is a major shopping centre.on the corner of Creek Road and Winstanley Street.

The South East Freeway and M1 are also very accessible from north or south.

Education

The Griffith University is situated 10 minutes away and has two campus, ie Nathan, and Mt Gravatt.

Mt Gravatt TAFE College is situated between Cavendish Road and Creek Road a good walk, or a short drive away.

Hospitals

QEll, Greenslopes Private and Princess Alexander is easy accessible by car or bus.

Sports Complex

Hibiscus Memorial Gardens Sports Centre, Klumpp Road, caters for Basketball, Squash, Swimming, Gym,. Footsal.and is a short drive up the road. It houses the Statre Netball Centre.

Sleeman Sports Complex/Chandler Sports Complex is a popular venue for major aquatric and fitness activities.  Many sports use this facility for AIS training. There is a Theatre, Sports Medicine Clinic, and offers Conference and Concert facilities..

ANZ Stadium, Kessells Road, can cater for major event, eg hockey, football, athletics.
